One day before the beginning of the Synod of Bishops "Youth, Faith and Vocation", the fairly new international initiative "Ending Clerical Abuse" (ECA) called for action against sexual and spiritual violence in the priest seminaries: www.ecaglobal.org/global-survivors-of-clergy-abuse -Call-for-action-against-abuse-in seminaries.
The press conference of ECA in the Association of Foreign Press in Rome was very well attended. However - We are Church International experienced the same in Rome again and again - the Italian press didn’t show any interest. In Italy, the Catholic Church still is so influential that no one dears to criticize the church.
