Sie wissen, dass ich heute mehr denn je hinter der KirchenVolksBewegung stehe, die durch die neuesten beschämenden Ereignisse um die Schwangerenkonfliktberatung (in Deutschland) voll und ganz bestätigt worden ist. (…) Mein Ruf (…) anlässlich der ersten Pressekonferenz zum Kirchen-VolksBegehren in Köln “Wacht endlich auf, Bischöfe!” hat angesichts der vorausgesagten vertieften Krise noch an Dringlichkeit gewonnen.

Ich wünsche allen in der KirchenVolksBewegung Kraft zum Durchstehen und Mut zum öffentlichen Protest in dieser besorgniserregenden Situation, in welcher der Glaubwürdigkeit von Papst und Bischöfen, aber auch der ganzen Katholischen Kirche in Deutschland schwerster Schaden zugefügt wurde.

You know that today more than ever I support the Movement We Are Church, the validity of which is currently being fully and completely confirmed by the embarrassing events surrounding pregnancy counceling (in Germany). (...) My call (...), "Bishops, wake up, at last!" on the occasion of the first press conference of the Kirchen-VolksBegehren in Cologne, has gained urgency in view of the above mentioned deepened crisis.

I wish all of those involved in the Movement We Are Church strength to endure and courage for public protest in this critical situation that has severely damaged not only the credibility of the pope and the bishops but the entire Catholic Church in Germany.
